Take Note
Romans 15:4 reminds us that “whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction,” so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
In this short devotional, we follow up on Sunday’s teaching about sharing your testimony by focusing on how God’s story connects to ours. Our testimony should not only tell people what happened to us. It should also show how God’s Word gave meaning, endurance, encouragement, and hope in that season.
One of the best ways to prepare to share your testimony is to store up Scripture for the seasons of life you walk through. When you face fear, grief, waiting, temptation, repentance, obedience, suffering, or joy, ask: What truth from God’s Word is helping me see this moment rightly?
When we share that Scripture as part of our testimony, we help others see more than our experience. We help them see the God who speaks, sustains, and saves.
