Take Note
What do we actually receive when we invest our lives in the kingdom of God?
In Mark 10:29-30, Jesus promises that those who leave behind homes, family, and possessions for His sake and for the gospel will receive new brothers, sisters, mothers, children, homes, and lands “now in this time,” as well as eternal life in the age to come.
After our weekend at Celebration NW with churches from across the Confluence NW family, that promise felt especially tangible. Through the gospel, God has given us relationships, homes, places, and a broader family we never would have had otherwise.
Following Jesus costs us something, but He does not leave us empty-handed. The church itself is one of the great gifts we receive in this life.
