Sex should never be treated casually, cheaply, or carelessly.

In Ephesians 5:31-32, Paul says marriage refers to Christ and the church. That gives sex a special significance. It is more than appetite, entertainment, self-expression, or a private physical experience. It points beyond itself to covenant, union, faithfulness, and love.
