Community Groups are where much of the everyday life of Cedar Springs happens. They are smaller gatherings of people who meet in homes throughout our community to build relationships, follow Jesus together, care for one another, and live out the gospel where God has placed us.
Groups typically meet every other week on various nights and in different locations. As Cedar Springs grows, we continue working to develop new groups in new neighborhoods.
Why Community Groups?
We believe following Jesus is something we are meant to do together. Community Groups give us a place to know others and be known, to receive encouragement and care, and to help others grow in their faith.
Our hope is that everyone comes ready not only to receive, but also to contribute. Whether through prayer, hospitality, encouragement, practical care, or leadership, every person has something to offer as we learn to serve one another.
Our Goal
Through Community Groups, we want to:
- Grow together through the truth of Scripture.
- Become disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus.
- Build meaningful relationships and care for one another.
- Live on mission in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and communities.
- Identify, equip, and send leaders to begin new groups in new areas.
What to Expect
Each Community Group is a little different, but a typical gathering includes time to connect, prayer, discussion around Scripture, and opportunities to encourage one another and engage in the mission of Jesus together.
You do not need to know everyone, have all the answers, or be at a particular point in your faith before joining. Community Groups are intended to be places where people can grow together.
Join a Community Group
The easiest way to get connected is to fill out a Connect Card on Sunday or contact us through this page. You can also talk with a Community Group leader or join a friend at their group.
We would be glad to help you find a group that works for your location and schedule.
