Power Packs
Every week, kids in our local schools go home on Friday not knowing if there will be enough food over the weekend. Power Packs exists to change that.
Cedar Springs partners with Harvest House to provide bags of nutritious, non-perishable food to students in the Bethel School District who are facing food insecurity. School counselors help identify kids who need support, and volunteers pack and deliver bags each week so students can quietly pick one up before heading home for the weekend.
Right now, Power Packs is feeding nearly 1,500 kids every week across 31 schools throughout the Bethel School District. During the holidays, the program also puts together full holiday dinner boxes for families who need a little extra help.
This is one of the simplest, most tangible ways we get to love our neighbors — one backpack, one weekend, one kid at a time.
How You Can Help
Meal packing happens throughout the week in Parkland and Graham, and it’s a great activity for just about anyone — individuals, families, ministry groups, civic clubs, youth sports teams, and more.
