Take Note
What does it really mean to love God and love others? In this sermon from 1 John 4:19-21 and 1 John 5:1-5, we close our Love Letter series by looking at the foundation of Christian love. We love because God first loved us. His love comes first, holds fast, and changes the way we live, worship, and relate to the people around us.
This message explores how love for God is directly connected to love for His people. The Apostle John makes it plain, faith in Jesus Christ produces a new life, and that new life shows itself through real love for fellow believers. This is a timely word as we prepare for Palm Sunday and Easter, and consider how God’s love is meant to be confessed with our mouths and displayed with our lives.
