Take Note
The Kingdom of God isn’t just a distant future hope—it’s a present reality. In this message, we dive deep into what it means to live in the Kingdom Now while anticipating the Kingdom Coming. Too often, we misrepresent the good news of Jesus by limiting it to eternity, reducing it to only spiritual matters, or making it seem like a life of only suffering. But the gospel is good news for today. It transforms our lives here and now.
Jesus declared, "The kingdom of God is in the midst of you" (Luke 17:21). He Himself brought the Kingdom. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we have already been brought out of darkness and into His marvelous light (Colossians 1:13). That means as believers, we experience a culture shift, a new security, and kingdom power through the Holy Spirit.
At the same time, we still groan with creation (Romans 8:18-25), waiting for the fullness of God’s Kingdom to be revealed. There is a tension between the "already" and the "not yet," but that tension fuels our hope, mission, and joy.
So how do we live in the Kingdom today?
Submit to God’s rule and stop trying to run life on your own
Worship with your whole life, including work, relationships, and daily choices
Pray continually and build your relationship with the King
Stay in fellowship with other believers to grow together
Live on mission and share the good news boldly
When we live with Kingdom Now vision, we experience righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17), real and tangible today. The power of the gospel is not just for later. It is for right now.
