Take Note
Focus: Humility and Obedience
“And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!” Philippians 2:8 (NIV)
Jesus shows us what full obedience looks like. His surrender wasn’t easy, but it was complete. Obedience to God often requires laying down our own preferences, timing, and plans. It means trusting that His way is better, even when we don’t see the outcome.
Today, reflect on the places where your will competes with God’s. Ask for a heart that doesn’t just comply but delights in surrender. Intercede for leaders and others around you to walk in that same posture of humility.
Pray for someone to join you in the journey of a disciple – someone you can receive wisdom and insight from, and someone who you can share wisdom and life with.
