Take Note
This week’s devotional continues Sunday’s teaching on the question, “How do I know I’m saved?” In that message, we looked at both the subjective confirmations of salvation in our lives and the objective confirmation of salvation found in Scripture.
In Colossians 3:1–4, Paul gives us a powerful picture of what salvation means through our union with Christ. Our life is now hidden with Christ in God. We are dead to our old self and our trespasses, and our true life is presently with Him.
Jordan also connects this passage to a simple statement from the men’s breakfast on marriage: “What impacts your wife impacts you, and what impacts you impacts your wife.” In a much greater way, this reflects our union with Christ. What matters to Him now matters to us. His life shapes our life. His death changes our relationship to sin. His appearing becomes our hope.
Join us as we consider what it means to live today as people whose lives are already bound up with Christ.
