The life and calling of Moses are some of the great foreshadowings of a more perfect Messiah in the Old Testament.
Moses came to bring freedom from earthly slavery for the Israelite people. Jesus came to bring freedom from slavery to sin for all people. Moses came to reveal God's law – a means for people to set themselves apart for God so they would receive his promises. Jesus came to fulfill God's law as a perfect sinless man.
