Welcome to Christ in All of Scripture, our weekly devotional series tracing the story of Jesus from Genesis to Revelation. This week we’re turning to Daniel 7, one of the most powerful and prophetic chapters in the Old Testament.

Daniel lived during Israel’s exile in Babylon. Jerusalem was destroyed. The temple was gone. God’s people were scattered, and many wondered if His promises had come to an end. In that setting, God gave Daniel a vision. Not just of political powers and chaos, but of hope. A vision of a human figure, “like a son of man,” coming on the clouds of heaven and receiving authority from the Ancient of Days.

Jesus quotes this exact passage before the high priest in Matthew 26, claiming that this Son of Man is Himself. In doing so, He reveals that Daniel’s vision is not just about the future. It is about Him, His resurrection, His ascension, and the eternal kingdom He now rules.

This episode explores how Daniel 7 speaks into our daily lives as citizens of a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Whether you’re a student, a worker, or a parent, this passage has something to say about your identity, your mission, and your hope.
