Take Note
We’re beginning a new series that’s all about becoming the kind of church Christ loves. “Practices of a Pure Church” isn’t just a title, it’s a call. A call to reflect the beauty, devotion, and faithfulness of a bride prepared for her groom.
In Part 1, we look at Matthew 19:6 and ask what marriage has to do with the church. The answer is everything. The image of one flesh, joined by God, isn’t just about a husband and wife. It is a picture of Christ and his church. When we understand that connection, we begin to grasp what it means to belong fully to Jesus.
This message reminds us that the church is not just a weekly gathering. It is a people, united in covenant, joined to Christ. That truth will shape how we teach, how we worship, how we serve, and how we live in community together. Over the next seven weeks, we’ll not only talk about what Jesus loves in his bride, we’ll practice it. Prayer, baptism, worship, generosity, sound doctrine, and deep fellowship.
We believe this season will help us grow into the church Jesus is preparing for himself.
